Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro joins the Madrid Golf Courses Association

The Madrid Golf Courses Association (ACGM) is growing thanks to the incorporation of the Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro, one of the oldest and most exclusive golf courses in Spain. With this, there are now 19 golf courses in Madrid that are active members of the Association.

Opened in 1895 and completely renovated 100 years later by the renowned designer Trent Jones, this private club has two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole par 3 course. All courses are impeccably maintained, ready to allow players to enjoy the wonderful views throughout the course. For many of its famous members, it is one of the most beautiful courses in Spain.

The ACGM, which only two months ago incorporated the emblematic Real Club La Moraleja into its ranks, continues to grow with a view to a bright future for golf in Madrid. Courses as new as El Encín (inaugurated in 2011) or Golf Santander (inaugurated in 2005), find in this Association a place of union with historical clubs, such as Puerta de Hierro or the RSHECC.

Despite the pandemic, despite the snowfall, golf in Madrid has better prospects than ever.
