Spring arrives, golf arrives
Golf has established itself as the great sporting alternative to Covid-19. An activity that takes place outdoors, committed to the environment, and that after the confinement has positioned itself as the perfect sport to practice and enjoy with family and friends.
With spring comes the sun, good temperatures and the golf courses of the Madrid Golf Courses Association are the ideal place to play and spend time playing our favorite sport.
The large increase in demand in the sector in recent months following the pandemic is reflected in the data, as the increase in the average number of golf courses in Madrid exceeds 38%. An evident growth in recent months that leaves the door open to continue adding new golfers of all ages.
Despite the large influx, there is still a 10% availability in the schools of our courses that are happy to welcome new golfers without having to be members to have a place and get started in the practice of golf.
Regarding the number of daily rounds and the number of free spaces left to play on the course during the week and weekends, there is an average of 17% free in the mornings, with afternoons being the time of the day with the most availability to play.
It is important to note that the Association’s golf courses have postponed their scheduled greens pruning to after Easter. Great news to play and enjoy during these vacations in the Community of Madrid.
